March 4, 2026 - Additional Data Collection Available for EPIRB, PLB, and SSAS Registrations

Recent software enhancements allow EPIRB, PLB, and SSAS owners to enter additional information about their beacon usage in the NOAA Beacon Registration Database. EPIRB and SSAS registrations can now include an Iridium number. PLB owners can now enter vessel and/or aircraft identification information, along with information about their vessel’s home port and/or aircraft’s home airport. Remember, the data you enter is helpful to search and rescue authorities in the event of an activation.
